Saar Mall in collaboration with 6/10 Women Empowerment initiative organized the Breast Cancer Awareness and Charity event entitled “United we Stand with Her” on 31st October 2019 from 5 – 9 PM. The proceeds of this event will be given to Bahrain Cancer Society to continue the fight against cancer and provide services to those affected by cancer.

This is the sixth year for Saar mall to organize the Breast Cancer Charity and Awareness event for the females in Bahrain. This noble event was always on the programs schedule of the Mall. Moreover, Saar Mall had focused to involve all the segments of the society to support all women out there in their fight against cancer.

This event became possible through the help of our Partners; such as Bahrain Cancer Society, and the organizer Ms. Noora Muhanna – 6/10 Women Empowerment initiative. Whereas, the Guest of honor was MP Dr. Sawsan Kamal, Member of Parliament, Her Excellency gave a speech on Inner Peace: Path to Prevention.

The United We Stand with Her event started with an opening remark by Mrs. Esmahan Bokhowa, Saar Mall Manager, in which she stated that “early detection saves lives, therefore it’s our role to spread awareness to all women out there”. Dr. Fadi Al Tawash, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, then mentioned in his speech the importance of selfexaminations for women on a periodical manner.

After that, we had two cancer survivors, Mrs. Nadia Siddiq and Mrs. Elisabetta Massey they spoke about their inspirational story to all our guests. Furthermore, Ms. Fathima Safina from Bahrain Eloquent Toastmaster Club delivered an inspirational story. Our Event Sponsors were; Lumee, Galata trading, Kids palace, Yellow Submarine, Carrefour, Kalimantan, Veras cake, Mame pod, AMAIUB, MKF, Balloons Heaven, Well Care Pharmacy, Bio Oil, Bio Derma, Ward Al Sham, Alta Café, Al Salam Hospital, Ammar Optician, Maison de Joelle, Remix Dj, Aptex, Cake Boutique, N Spa, Taylos Hospitality.

We had conducted several activities, i.e. stalls for think pink products, giveaways, free checkups, awareness program for the attendees to enjoy this event. The event ended by a Group picture with all our guests and cutting a cake that was provided by Cake Boutique.

نظم مجمع سار الفعالية التوعوية بسرطان الثدي تزامناً مع الشهر العالمي للتوعية بسرطان الثدي والذي يصادف شهر أكتوبر من كل عام كما كانت الفعالية بتنظيم نورة المهنا صاحبة مبادرة 6/‏‏10 لتمكين المرأة. وتم عمل فحوصات مجانية لجميع للناس عامةً. شهدت الفعالية مشاركة واسعة من المساهمين في البازار الخيري وحضور كبير جداً من الزوار.

افتتحت الفعالية الدكتورة سوسن كمال وقد شاركت في إلقاء كلمة حول طريق السلام الداخلي للوقاية من سرطان الثدي. كما ألقت أسمهان بوخوة مديرة مجمع سار كلمة افتتاحية للفعالية وقد أكدت على أن هذه الفعالية هدفها نشر الوعي بسرطان الثدي وحث وتشجيع النساء على الفحص المبكر الذي من الممكن أن ينقذ أرواحاً كما صرحت: «نحن لسنا فقط في صفكن في مكافحة سرطان الثدي، بل نحن معكن في كل خطوة في مكافحة سرطان الثدي».

استُضِيف للفعالية الدكتور فادي التواش، جراحي التجميل والترميم حيث تطرق من خلال خبراته إلى الأسباب والعوامل التي من الممكن أن تؤدي إلى سرطان الثدي وطرق الوقاية والحد من خطر سرطان الثدي من أهمها التحكم في الوزن.

كما حضرتا الفعالية نادية صادق وإليزابيتا ماسي، ناجيتان من مرض سرطان الثدي حيث رووا قصتهن مع المرض وكيف انتصرن عليه. وأيضاً ألقت الدكتورة. وفي الأخير ألقت فاطمة سفينة من ملتقى التوست ماستر كلمة عن هذا الإطار.

تحت رعاية الدكتورة منال العلوي الوكيل المساعد للصحة الأولية المحترمة، نظَّم مركز البديع الصحي بالتعاون مع مجمع سار بتاريخ 24 أكتوبر 2019، الحملة التوعوية تحت عنوان: «جمالٌ لا يُقهر» التي أُطلقت وكان هدفها نشر التوعية للكشف المبكر عن سرطان .الثدي الذي يعد من أكثر أنواع السرطان شيوعا لدى النساء 

تضمنت الحملة كلمة من الدكتورة منال العلوي، إذ أكدت دور وزارة الصحة في تعزيز برامجها ومشاركاتها الاجتماعية في دعم المرأة وأهمية إجراء الفحوصات الطبية والشخصية الدورية وتوفير سبل الكشف المبكر على يد الكوادر الطبية المتخصصة التي تواكب أحدث التقنيات التشخيصية والعلاجية. 

في الختام تم تكريم المحافظ والوكيل المساعد ومنظمي الحملة مع الكوادر المشاركة الذين أسهموا في إنجاح هذه الحملة. وتم عمل فحوصات طبية مجانية من قبل مركز لندن لجراحة الثدي ووزارة الصحة.

حضر الفعالية عدد كبير من الحضور والشخصيات المهمة منها؛ السيد علي بن الشيخ عبدالحسين العصفور محافظ المحافظة الشمالية، النائب فاطمة القطري، النائب سيد فلاح هاشم، النائب غازي آل رحمة النائب أحمد الكوهجي.

Inspired by the concept of Budaiya’s Farmer’s Market, the Saar Mall team, brought the concept of farmers’ market inside the mall for the first time with the Bahraini vendors. SAAR MALL Farmers market target was for promoting Bahrain’s agricultural products and highlighting the development-taking place in Bahrain’s agricultural sector. It also aimed to contribute to improving the Bahraini Farmers income.

The farmers’ market in Saar maalhas had huge amount of visitors and the market has been a huge success. Saar mall team organized the Promising experience; and the market was launched on June 29. The market covered the ground floor space of Saar Mall.

Saar mall looks forward to organize Farmers Market on a larger scale next year during this time. People can enjoy their breakfast; buy plants and local fruits, vegetables and dates all under one roof at a low price. The Bahraini farmers were encouraged to offer competitive prices to attract more shoppers in order for their produce to reach the largest chunk of citizens and residents.

Group CEO of Saar mall and BOKHOWA GROUP Mr. Hassan Abdulla Ali Bokhowa said that the market has been successfully fulfilling the demand for locally produced fruits and vegetables. The market has been an immense success. Since its opening, the market has attracted a large number of visitors, as well as the official visits especially in the closing ceremony. The farmers market also attended many important personalities, including: Mr. Ali Al Asfoor, Governor of the Northern Governorate and Ahmed Al-Kooheji, Chairman of Northern Municipal Council.

Esmahan Bokhowa Saar Mall manager promised that Saar Mall Farmers Market would continue to host the event to give visitors the feeling of the Bahraini Farmers Market that usually is conducted in Budaiya at winter.

“It is sad to say goodbye to the farmers’ market in Saar and we hope that this most spectacular event will be repeated in the coming months,” said a seasonal fruit seller at Saar.

The market was a perfect balance between the beautiful venue, delicious food, affordability and staff professionalism, customers mentioned in their comments.

تمكن فريق مجمع سار من استضافة سوق المزارعين داخل المجمع خلال فصل الصيف وكان ذلك للمرة الأولى، حيث حظى السوق بتعاون مشترك بين إدارة المجمع والمزارعين البحرينيين الذين تمكنوا من عرض منتجاتهم وبيعها.

وهدف السوق إلى الترويج للمنتجات الزراعية في البحرين وتسليط الضوء على التطور الحاصل في القطاع الزراعي في البحرين. كما شجع على المساهمة في تحسين دخل المزارعين البحرينيين.

وتمكن السوق من استقبال عدد كبير من المزارعين الزوار مما حقق نجاحًا كبيرا، حيث شارك أكثر من 35 مزارعًا في سوق المزارعين وقدم هؤلاء المزارعون الفواكه الموسمية والخضراوات والتمور، بالإضافة إلى زاوية الإفطار التي شاركت فيها العديد من المطاعم مثل (أموش، سالميك للباجة العربية، فلافل شبير، مطعم كارما للدوسا الهندية والعديد من المطاعم).

وقدم المزارعون البحرينيون أسعارا تنافسية لجذب المزيد من المتسوقين، إذ أكد المزارعون أن السوق كانت فرصة حقيقية للترويج عن منتجاتهم وتوعية المستهلك البحريني بأهمية المنتجات الزراعية البحرينية والتي لا تقل وجودتها عن المنتجات المستورة وقد تتجاوزها بعض الأحيان.

وصرح السيد حسن عبدالله علي بوخوة، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجمع سار ومجموعة بوخوة بقوله: «لقد نجح السوق في تلبية الطلب على الفواكه والخضراوات المنتجة محليًا، بالإضافة إلى جذب السوق عددا كبيرا من الزوار والشخصيات المهمة منها السيد علي العصفور محافظ المحافظة الشمالية وأحمد الكوهجي رئيس المجلس البلدي الشمالي.

وقالت مديرة مجمع سار اسمهان حسن بوخوة: «لن تكون هذه المرة الأخيرة للسوق بل سيعاد بالتأكيد وذلك ليعطي الزوار إحساساً بسوق المزارعين البحريني الذي يتم إجراؤه عادة في فصل الشتاء».

It is difficult for the Bahraini farmers to sell their products in this hot season. Inspired by the concept of Budaiya’s Farmer’s Market, the Saar Mall team, brought the concept of farmers’ market inside the mall for the first timer with the Bahraini vendors.

People can avail the local produce from Farmers’ Market at Saar Mall in an air-conditioned space at a much better price. The event is organized every Saturday from 7am to 1pm until August 31^st. They have also made the theme as greenery with the palm trees for this event in line with the nature. The small frogs in small ponds to entertain the kids. There is also a henna stall by Hanaiya Um Aminah.

Farmers are providing produce such as herbs, dates, fruits and vegetables as well as traditional breakfast, Arabic Pacha, Indian Dosa, and snacks on the ground floor of the shopping destination. Ms. Esmahan quoted,” Bahrainis consider breakfast as the most important part of the meal. So we managed to get the best Bahraini breakfast vendors in town. We have got Mawish restaurant from Budaiya, which is popular among the locals. We have vendors like Salemak Bacha who sells delicious Bahraini Pacha, Karma restaurant who makes Indian breakfast items like dosas, falafel shabeer, Aloo Samoosas, Emmawash, Pastel and king fruit for their fresh juices and ice creams from the restaurants side. Every Week we are adding more items by seeing the successful response from the crowd.”

“In our other section, we have the local produce like papayas, dates, Chickoo, fresh figs and loos grown by the Bahraini farmers which is seasonal. Carrefour also participates with their organic produce. We also have plants which people can buy and grow at their garden and home. We have many people from Saudi visiting our farmers market as we are located close by and learn about the Bahrain market.”

Mr. Antony from Agora stated that they sell handmade soaps without chemicals, extra virgin olive oils, organic honey, mustard, protein bars and various dressing all imported from Greece. They supply their products also in Carrefour, Al Osra and Lulu Hypermarkets.

One of the Vendors from the Budaiya market, Mr. Ibrahim sells different varieties of high quality dates, white and red loos, which is popular among the locals and papaya. “I’m very happy and thankful to Saar Mall for providing this opportunity.” Another vendor, Ibrahim sells homemade pickles of different varieties as chili, hot and sweet pickles made by his grandmother. He also sells chilies, limes, grown in Bahrain.

Customers are already praising the market for its perfect balance between amazing food, affordability and staff professionalism. Saar mall looks forward to organize even better next year during this time. People can enjoy their breakfast, buy plants and local fruits, vegetables and dates all under one roof at a low price.

بمناسبة عيد الأضحى المبارك، أعدّت كل من إدارة مجمع سار وفريق ثمار التطوعي احتفالاً بمجموعة من الفعاليات والأنشطة المرحة والشائقة المخصّصة للأطفال في حي المطاعم، بتاريخ 12 و13 أغسطس 2019.كان البرنامج الاحتفالي يحتوي على عدة أنشطة، مثل نقش الحناء والخط العربي بالإضافة الى الكتابة على الورد والرسم الكارتوني بواسطة رسام، إذ أقام الفريق بعدة مسابقات وألعاب تحفيزية، وتم توزيع جوائز عديدة على الأطفال والجمهور المشاركين، كما تم إهداء الأطفال كوبونات مقدمة من محل كدز بالاس للألعاب

وختامًا، سُحب على سبيكتي ذهب مقدمتين من محل أڤتار للذهب، ما أضاف الحماس والبهجة عند الأهالي. واختتم الحفل بإكرام الضيوف، وذلك بتقديم الكنافة والحلوى الشامية من قبل محل ورد الشام

Themaar Volunteer performs Al-Adha event at Saar Mall 

On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the management of the Saar mall and Themar Volunteer Team organized a celebration of a range of fun and interesting activities and programs for children in the food court on 12 and 13 August 2019. 

The celebration program included several activities, such as henna inscription and calligraphy, writing on roses ,cartoon drawing by a painter.  

The team held several competitions and incentive games, and many prizes were distributed to the children and the participating audience, and the children were given coupons provided by Kids Palace . 

In conclusion, two gold bars were drawn on two prefabricated gold bars, which added enthusiasm and joy to the people.

استضاف فريق مجمع سار سوق المزارعين في 29 يونيو ولغاية 31 أغسطس داخل المجمع لأول مرة بمشاركة أكثر من 35 مزارعًا بحرينيًّا.

وكان الهدف الترويج للمنتجات الزراعية في البحرين وتسليط الضوء على التطور في القطاع الزراعي بالمملكة. كم شجّع على المساهمة في تحسين دخل المزارعين البحرينيين.

واستقبل السوق عددًا كبيرًا من الزوار وقد حقق نجاحًا كبيرًا، حيث نظم فريق المجمع تجربة واعدة حيث غطى السوق مساحة الطابق الأرضي للمجمع.  وتمكن الزوار من الاستفادة من المنتجات المحلية في مكان مكيف الهواء وبسعر أفضل. واستمرت هذه الفعالية كل يوم سبت من الساعة 8 صباحًا حتى 1 ظهرًا.

وصرّح الرئيس التنفيذي لمجمع سار ومجموعة بوخوة حسن بوخوة بأن “السوق نجح في تلبية الطلب على الفواكه والخضروات المنتجة محليًّا. لقد حقق سوق المزارعين نجاحًا هائلاً خصوصًا في الختام، جذب السوق عددًا كبيرًا من الزوار، كما حضر سوق المزارعين الكثير من الشخصيات المهمة منها محافظ الشمالية ورئيس المجلس البلدي الشمالي. فيما أكدت مديرة مجمع سار أسمهان بوخوة أن سوق المزارعين سيُعاد لإعطاء الزوار إحساسًا بسوق المزارعين البحريني الذي يتم إجراؤه عادةً في البديع في فصل الشتاء.

تحت رعاية علي بن الشيخ عبدالحسين العصفور محافظ المحافظة الشمالية في مملكة البحرين، وبالتعاون مع السفارة السعودية أقامت إدارة مجمع سار التجاري فعالية اليوم الوطني للمملكة العربية السعودية يوم الخميس الموافق 26 سبتمبر 2019 وحظي الاحتفال بحضور ممثل عن السفارة السعودية السيدة هالة العبد الواحد نائب مدير مكتب رجال الأعمال بالسفارة وبحضور شخصيات حكومية وطنية مع ممثلي المحافظة الشمالية، وعادل بوخوة المدير التنفيذي لفندق رمادا – سيتي سنتر البحرين ورياض بوخوة ومحمد بوخوة من مجموعة بوخوة، وبمشاركة واسعة للبحرينيين وزوار المجمع ومن الجالية السعودية، وقد شهد الحفل تفاعلاً للمسابقات والبرامج التي قدمها فريق ثمار التطوعي بمساعدة فريق مجمع سار التجاري وتم قطع كعكة كبيرة التي تحمل شعار المملكة العربية السعودية وتم توزيع أعلام المملكة على جميع الضيوف والزوار للتعبير عن فرحتهم بالاحتفال وهدايا رمزية.

كرمت إدارة مجمع سارمؤخراً الموظف المتميز” ثاقب علي” موظف قسم الصيانة العامة لمجمع سار الموافق … يناير 2019، قامت مديرة المجمع الأستاذة أسمهان حسن بوخوة بتقديم شهادة تقديرية، و قد حصل ثاقب على هذه الشهادة نظير أدائه الوظيفي المتميز من الناحية الإنضباطية و العملية و جهوده الفعالة التي تخدم زبائن المجمع و  الموظفين و حسن تعامله معهم، حيث تكريم الموظفين يأتي ضمن سياسة التشجيع للجميع و إذكاء روح التنافس بينهم وتحسين بيئة العمل و تجويد الأداء و تقديم أفضل الخدمات من خلال الموظف الذي يقوم بكامل واجباته العملية و تحمله المسؤولية في خدمة الجميع.

The director of Saar Mall, Ms. Esmahan Hassan Bokhowa, presented a certificate of appreciation to Thaqib Ali on Jan 2019, a worker in Maintenance Department at the Saar Mall and received this certificate for his outstanding performance in terms of discipline, practicality and effective efforts in serving the mall staffs and customers.
